초등학교 학생들의 자기 주도적이며 창의적인 학습 능력을 신장시키기 위해서는 교과 교육과 더불어 다양한 현장학습(study trip)의 기회를 제공하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 학교에서는 현장학습 운영시수 부족과 교사의 과중한 업무 부담 등으로 인해, 수준 높은 현장학습이 제공되고 있다고 말하기는 어려운 실정이다.	Along with regular curriculum education it is necessary to provide various opportunities for a study trip so as to enhance autonomous and creative study capacity of elementary school students. However, high quality study trips are not offered in the current school environment due to the insufficient class hours designated for such study trips and the task overload of the teachers.
